5 Day Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Hells Gate and Lake Naivasha Safari

Maasai Mara National Park is the most visited destination in Kenya. Hundreds of thousands of tourists flock Maasai Mara to watch the different spectacular wildlife species and an enormous number of wildlife experiences that are only popular to the park. This wonderful tour starts and ends in Nairobi. Early in the morning preferably after some breakfast, you shall be driven to Maasai Mara game reserve. The reserve is situated in the southwestern part of Kenya near the Kenya-Tanzania border. It will take at least 6 hours to drive from Nairobi to Maasai Mara game reserve. Upon arrival, you shall check in your lodge and embark on an afternoon game drive; with wonderful experiences within the park, it is possible to watch the big 5 after just hours of driving from the main gate. Maasai Mara never disappoints, you shall be in a position to spot your different wildlife species. Later in the evening, after a welcome game drive experience, you shall drive back to the lodge to mark the end of the day.

Wake up in an expectant mood of watching several species of wildlife and wonderful wildlife experiences. Early in the morning after breakfast; your tour guide shall drive to your lodge, pick you up and transfer you to the park to start an early morning game drive.  If you have ever had the opportunity of watching any animal documentary originating from Africa, you should have realized that the wild never sleeps; you must be awake most of the time because you never know what your enemies are planning. This mostly applies to herbivores which are hunted down by predators. Early in the morning, if you are fortunate, you shall view predator trying to chase their prey or feasting on their night’s catch.  After an early morning game drive, you shall move back to the lodge for some relaxation and later drive back for a mid-afternoon game drive, here you shall have a game drive for some good hours and later, you shall take your lunch  around River Mara while getting glimpses of Crocodiles, hippopotamus and several species that live in the water. Later, start the afternoon game drive and end late in the evening. Some of the wildlife to expect in Maasai Mara include the Lions, Buffaloes, Elephants, Leopards, Rhinos, hyenas, antelopes, Maasai giraffes, warthogs, crocodiles, Oribi, hippopotamus, East African cheetah and other species.  If you happen to come during the great migration, you shall watch the great natural wild migration normally known as the great migration where millions of wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of Thompson gazelles and zebras are seen crossing from Tanzania’ Serengeti national park to Maasai Mara game reserve.

If you missed out on an opportunity to spot any wildlife experience, which is rare at Maasai Mara; you shall drive to the park to watch some of the missed wildlife and different game experiences. After the morning game drive, you shall drive to Lake Naivasha, one of the freshest lakes in the Great Rift Valley for a remarkable boat cruise, you will enjoy a relaxing time along this spectacular lake. Later in the evening, you shall drive to your accommodation for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Early in the morning, you shall drive to Lake Nakuru national park, the park is famous for millions of flamingos that are seen along the lake. You shall be in a position to watch several bird species around the lake and after a brief game drives around Lake Nakuru, you shall proceed to Nairobi to mark the end of this remarkable and unforgettable wildlife adventure.
